Hi! Ever since I can remember, nuts have hated me. When I was a little girl I would tell my parents that "my ears burned" when I ate nut products. After lots of questions and weird looks, they finally brought me to an allergist and I was diagnosed with a very deadly peanut allergy. I was told to carry an Epipen, wear a medical alert, and stay away from all nuts.
Living with a nut allergy is hard work, especially when it comes to finding healthy, nut free snacks. Most granola and granola bars are made with nuts, or are processed in a facility that shares equipment with nuts. The nut free granola products that do exist don't actually taste good. My desire for such a product inspired me to create my own healthy, nut free, on-the-go granola snack.
